When: Friday December 1st, 2023

Where: Draughtsman Aleworks (53 Santa Felicia Dr, Goleta, CA 93117)

Speaker: Fabio Ricci, Joel C. Pion

Abstract: This is a joint work of the authors, designing the first spider fluids location laboratory. While still in abstract form it will allow the conception of many very applied fluid dynamics experiments. We will announce the 2d shape during the talk. This is a completely new result that was just posted this week and it has already been very influential in the field of solutions composed of approximately 95 percent water.

When: Friday October 20th, 2023

Where: Draughtsman Aleworks (53 Santa Felicia Dr, Goleta, CA 93117)

Speaker: Mike Critelli

Abstract: Local filmmaker and children's book author was also an amateur Fluid Dynamitist who shocked the community with some profound results in the previous year. Mike Critelli has made large developments in the study of Fluid Dynamics not only in the 95% water regime, but even in lower water areas. Some of the more classical theorems, such as the lagerfeld theorem and the Ipaskey equation, thought only to apply in 95% water environments were shown by Mike Critelly to work in fluids containing only 90% water. A groundbreaking result. Mike Critelli will also share their personal path for how they went from amateur Fluidist to a now frontier researcher.
